We understand that some of you may think that technology does not have enough research to back it up as a tool for learning (Roblyer & Doering, 2010, p. 21). We want to let you know that there have been numerous studies that have shown improvement in students' knowledge, and are available upon request.
Two types of items that we need the most for our students are several laptops and one projector for each classroom. With the budget cuts, it is important for us to utilize computers to make teaching more efficient and learning more motivational, as seen in this article. A projector is essential for a teacher to be able to show all the students at once how to perform various tasks on their computers. We found that this projector scored high on quality while being low in price.
With technology being increasingly incorporated into our lifestyles and the ever growing amount of jobs that focus on or require computer literacy, it is especially important that we provide students with the tools and methods that will help them get ahead and have a bright future. Please help us by volunteering your time to help raise money for this worthy effort. Your kids depend on you!
